In Loving Memory of Haven Louis Fagley
1942–2026
Haven Louis Fagley, 83, of North Adams, Massachusetts, passed away on November 1, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, adventures, laughter, and a family who loved him dearly.
Haven leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Jane M. Fagley; his daughter Darlene Fagley of North Adams, MA, and her daughter Tasha, her husband David MacGibbon, and great-granddaughter Aliviana, all of Portsmouth, RI; and daughter Jessica Waitt of Hancock, MA. He also leaves behind his daughter Christina and her husband Michael Pisano, and their children Liliana and Dominick, all of North Adams, MA.
Haven was predeceased by his parents, Haven and Edith Fagley of Lanesborough, MA, and his sister Judith Osterman of Phoenix, AZ. He leaves behind his siblings Patricia Shands of Chesapeake, VA; Peggy Morse of Corolla, NC; Roberta Fagley of Pittsfield, MA; and Gilbert Fagley of Lanesborough, MA, as well as his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Haven was a 1960 graduate of Pittsfield High School and received extensive training in equipment testing and repair during his years of service in the US Air Force. From 1960 to 1965, he served at the Gettysburg Air Force Station in Gettysburg, SD, in Aircraft Control and Warning Radar Technician with the 903rd Radar Squadron.
He later worked at Sprague Electric in North Adams as a Testing Equipment Calibrator, a job he loved. After retiring from Sprague, Haven started Berkshire Computer Repair in 1990, his own onsite computer repair and installation business serving Berkshire County and the New York Capital Area.
Besides his love of everything technical, Haven and his wife were longtime members of the North American Family Camping Association (N.A.F.C.A.). Haven, Jane, and their family enjoyed 3 cross-country trips exploring the United States National Parks. He had another trip planned to travel the country in their new trailer and was saddened that he would not be able to add that adventure to their travel memories.
"My Team"
When Haven was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in August, he found himself surrounded by what he affectionately called “My Team”. His own group of family members: Christina, Jane, Darlene, Peggy and Patricia who stood beside him, helped him navigate and made sure he was surrounded by love, care, and support every step of the way.
It was truly a team effort, and Haven certainly wasn't shy about letting everyone know who was on his team! We hope you will become a part of his team by posting on Haven’s website www.bcr1990.com or by email: bcr1990@verizon.net - leave the family a story, memory or photo you have of Haven and we’ll be sure to post it.
Even during the toughest days, Haven's sense of humor never completely left him. He had a way of delivering a one-liner that could make you laugh, sometimes when you least expected it. One of his memorable sayings was:
“Don't argue with a dying man”
That was Haven. Direct, quick-witted, and always ready with the last word. His humor was part of who he was, and those little one-liners will be remembered and repeated for years to come.
Haven also wanted his friends and family to know one very important thing:
“Colon cancer sucks! Please make sure you get tested so you don't get sick.”
The family wishes to express their profound appreciation to the staff of Hospice Care in the Berkshires and Elder Services for the exceptional care and comfort provided to Haven and his loved ones.
